Fields of Blood – Campaigns for Dark Sun
The goal of the game:
It is important to note that like all things in our little hobby, there is no inherent goal to this game. The meanings are what you make it. You can win or lose in the same way that you win or lose a fight – by failing to achieve what you set out to do. Fields of Blood is a tool for enacting change on a big scale.
Agendas
The reason an Actor is participating in a Field of Conflict.
Field of Conflict: The area that represents the relevant focus of Fields of Blood, be that a battlefield, struggle for control of a City State.
Lynchpins:
These serve as the basis for a character’s power.
Goals:
Goals are the method of gaining power and the methods of enacting an Agenda.
Sources: Not a factor in every game, but some games will require the use of Sources to function – these represent supplies of materials, food, water, and a stable body of people to draw labour from.
Power: The currency of Fields of Blood. It is used to measure the current state of stability for an Agenda in Fields of Blood.
Instruments: These are the tools an Agenda uses to achieve its Goals.
Action List: Here is a list of actions you can take in Fields of Blood.
